I try to look for something unique when I shoot a portrait. I'll often shoot long after the 'official' session has ended just to catch a candid gesture or look. My favorite photo recently is the shot of Michael Buble he looks like a little lost boy in a huge chair.

I can't compete with the agencies for coverage so I look for something different in a news story. I hope that these pictures show another side of some familiar and not so familiar stories from the last few years.
